FESOJ launched Mobile Journalism training for its members
Mogadishu, Somalia 17 June 2022: The Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) has launched Mobile Journalism Training for twelve journalists that are members of FESOJ.
The one-day training has been held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the main office of the Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) in Mogadishu, Somalia to improve the capacity of the journalists in mobile journalism skills, which is essential for their profession.
The training on Mobile Journalism, one of the latest advanced skills to be used by the journalists, has been facilitated by Abdinasir Ismail with expertise in this field.
During the training program sessions, the facilitator explained how the mobile could be used in taking photos and editing, and its specific techniques that could make the work of the journalists much more easier.
The participating journalists have expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to be trained in mobile journalism to further improve their capacity in using modern mobile technology.
Farah Omar Nur, FESOJ Secretary-General stated in his opening remarks for the training program. In addition, Farah has thanked Abdinasir Solo for dedicating his time to providing this valuable training to FESOJ member journalists.
“The journalists need to continuously develop their skills, FESOJ has provided the journalists an opportunity to acquire much-desired knowledge on how mobile journalism works.” Mr Nur said.
On his part, Abdinasir Solo, the facilitator pointed out that he was very pleased to provide this training to FESOJ member journalists; and expected the journalists to take the advantage of adding mobile journalism to their professional work.
Hani Mohamed, one of the trainees indicated that she has benefited from the training and learned how to work with mobile journalism, which she said will eventually make our work much easier. She thanked Abinasir Solo, the trainer for the practical demonstration on how to use the mobile equipment, and especially appreciated FESOJ for the valuable opportunity provided to the journalists.
